SRT-Tech Projects Focus in Africa

SRT-Tech operates exclusively within the African continent, with a strategic focus on Southern Africa. This includes key regions such as the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Tanzania, and surrounding southern countries.

The primary goal of SRT-Tech is to empower small-scale mining license holders by providing access to high-quality mining machinery and equipment. These regions have been prioritized due to the high concentration of licensed small-scale mining operations, making them ideal for impactful and sustainable development.

Strategic Partnership with Rand Refinery

SRT-Tech maintains a close partnership with Rand Refinery in Johannesburg, the only LBMA-certified gold refinery in Africa. As one of the most renowned and trusted refineries in the world, Rand Refinery has processed over 50,000 tons of gold—representing approximately one-third of all gold ever mined.

This refinery plays a critical role in the global precious metals market, contributing significantly to the integrity and traceability of gold. It is also the exclusive producer of the Krugerrand, a globally recognized and proven gold investment product preferred by SRT-Tech.

The raw gold mined by SRT-Tech’s partners is refined at Rand Refinery into a fully certified and regulated gold product, ensuring compliance with international standards and market accessibility.

South Africa as company location

Why SRT-Tech Is Based in Pretoria, Johannesburg

SRT-Tech has strategically chosen Pretoria, Johannesburg as its operational base due to South Africa’s status as the leading mining hub in Africa. The country is home to the continent’s top mining specialists, particularly in mining engineering, technology, machinery supply, and export services. Key centers of mining expertise include Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Cape Town.

South Africa also offers significant logistical and trade advantages. The nation maintains strong intra-African trade relations, especially with countries south of the equator, streamlining the import of mining machinery and the export of raw gold. Additionally, direct flight connections from Johannesburg to major African cities like Dar es Salaam, Nairobi, and Kinshasa enable swift deployment of expert personnel and equipment.

From a legal and regulatory perspective, South Africa follows the Anglo-Saxon (UK-based) legal system, which closely mirrors European legal standards. This alignment ensures a high level of legal security for international business operations. The system is particularly compatible with the Swiss legal framework, which is approximately 90% Anglo-Saxon in structure.
