Services
Our goal
SRT-Tech empowers mining companies by providing expertly selected, high-performance machinery tailored through qualified engineering and specialist know-how. Our mission is to support claim operators on-site with innovative, future-oriented mining solutions that not only drive efficient and profitable gold extraction but also prioritize the protection of people and the environment.
A core element of our sustainable approach is the deployment of machinery capable of supporting post-extraction renaturation—helping restore and reintegrate mined areas back into the natural ecosystem. This ensures long-term environmental balance and responsible resource use.
Our service
In Africa, gold is predominantly extracted through alluvial mining—a method that targets gold found in loose gravel and sediment deposits. This technique is widely regarded as one of the simplest and most environmentally friendly forms of gold extraction, as it relies primarily on water-based separation without the need for harmful chemicals.
The process involves washing gold-bearing gravel to release and recover the precious metal. Because the gold particles are already detached from rock, only minimal mechanical processing is required.
To obtain pure gold through alluvial mining, three essential steps are followed:
Excavation – Gold-rich gravel is collected from riverbeds or sedimentary deposits using excavators or surface mining tools.
Washing & Separation – The gravel is washed using mobile wash plants or sluice systems to separate gold flakes from soil and heavier debris.
Refinement – The extracted gold concentrate is refined further to isolate pure gold, often using gravity or magnetic separation techniques.

Types of Alluvial Gold Mining
Alluvial gold mining can be divided into three main categories, each defined by the scale of operation, equipment used, and mining conditions:
Artisinal Mining
Artisanal (Manual) Mining
This small-scale method involves simple tools like pans, shovels, and sluice boxes. It is labor-intensive and typically used by local miners working independently or in small groups. While low-cost, it often results in high gold losses due to inefficient processing.
- Use of rudimentary tools such as shovels, pans or pickaxes.
- Often little or no official regulation.
- Often associated with environmental and human rights problems.
Small Scale Mining
This category uses basic machinery such as small excavators, pumps, and mobile wash plants. It’s a step up from artisanal mining, offering improved gold recovery rates and reduced environmental impact. This method is ideal for local operators looking to scale operations sustainably.
- Use of mechanical equipment such as excavators or mills.
- Legally designated areas with official licenses.
- Environmental regulations and occupational health and safety measures are prescribed in some cases.
Large Scale Mining
Large-scale operations involve heavy equipment such as dredgers, bulldozers, and high-capacity wash plants. These operations are capital-intensive but highly efficient, with sophisticated separation systems and compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Use of state-of-the-art machinery and processing facilities.
- High level of state regulation and strict licensing.
- High environmental and recultivation requirements after mining.
Our Corporate Goal
Empowering Small-Scale Gold Mining Through Modern Technology
SRT-Tech specializes in bringing advanced machine technology to small-scale gold mining operations—a sector with massive untapped potential for optimization. Traditional small-scale mining in Africa is often inefficient, with high gold losses, unsafe conditions, and the use of child labor and harmful chemicals that damage both people and the environment.
Alluvial gold mining, while technically simple, becomes significantly more effective and sustainable when paired with modern, chemical-free machinery. By replacing outdated methods with professional-grade equipment, SRT-Tech enables safer, more productive mining practices without compromising environmental standards.
Our partnership model ensures that local operators benefit directly. We deliver modern surface mining machines from leading manufacturers like Wirtgen (Germany), supporting a clean, safe, and replicable approach to responsible gold extraction across the continent.
At SRT-Tech, we believe long-term success is only possible when everyone involved—investors, local communities, and the environment—benefits equally.
